The good Lord has blessed Okuapemman School with a very competent and hardworking headmaster. The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ is being experienced on this hill as an institution established on a sound Christian foundation.
New Academic Year: 2012/13
The 2012/13 academic year has started on a good footing. The School resumed from vacation on, 17th September, 2012. Payment of school fees was brisk followed by the usual general cleaning of the classrooms, dormitories, chapel and the compound.
The opening assembly was conducted by the Headmaster with the staff and the students in attendance. Subject Teachers collected their marked and vetted scripts which had been deposited with the Assistant Headmistress (Academic) after filling the previous term’s report, for discussion with the students. The topics for the term were also given to the students to enable them follow closely, be ahead of time and work hard as well. Students who performed very well were rewarded.
Others who performed abysmally during the academic year were made to repeat their class. The Headmaster, in his usual supervisory style, has been visiting the classrooms during lessons to ascertain at firsthand what is happening there. The academic zeal of the students has been boosted adequately and this will obviously reflect in their performance both internally and externally.
Headmaster’s profile
Mr.
Daniel Afari is a God fearing noble man of good repute. He is a happily married
man blessed with three (3) Children.
Educational background:
Mr. Daniel Afari had his basic education training at Anum Presbyterian Primary School and his middle school at Anum Presbyterian Middle Boarding School.
The continued to the Secondary level education and had his “o” level at Anum Presbyterian Senior High. He also continued from there for his “A” level education at Pope Johns Senior High School. From the, He studied at the Presbyterian Training College at Akropong-Akwapim.
With hard work and determination, Mr. Afari furthered his education to the University of Cape Coast (UCC) and obtained B.SC. in Agriculture. He also went to the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and obtained Master of Science if Agronomy.
Work Places:
Mr. Afari Daniel first worked as a teacher at Ghana Sugar Estate Primary in Asujari. He continued still as a teacher at Adonten Senior High School-Aburi. Mr.Afari moved on to become a tutor at the Presbyterian Training College in Akropong-Akwapim.
Mr. Afari was blessed to be an Assistant headmaster
of Adonten Senior high, where he had taught for some time.
With the Almighty in Mr. Afari’s life, he was able to become the Headmaster of Dorkorkrom Agric Senior High School. He later became the Headmaster of Nkwatia Presby Senior High-Nkwatia.
Currently, Mr. Afari Daniel is the Headmaster of Okuapemman Senior High School at Akropong-Akwapim.
